you get what it says on the box
Date:January 13, 2012
Pros: hard wearing ...well made..looks good..feels good.
Cons: Wear the boots around the house for a few days to get the feel of the boot
"First time out they felt a little stiff as the leather is new and a bit ridged...wear double socks or a good boot sock the at first. After several miles walking you felt the benefit of a good strong boot .On the second walk they are more comfortable to wear as your feet blend in with the contours of the leather and good solid construction of Timberland boots."

Not as they used to be
Date:November 12, 2011
Pros: fit perfects and look good
Cons: rubber seal/junction with leather failing
"I bought these boots 2 weeks ago and have used lightly for general use. Not hill walking etc. The reason I bough them was that I had a pair many years ago and used them for everything from walking to hiking to clubbing. They were bullet proof. However the new ones dont seam to be of the same quality. After the first few days ov wear (wet once by light rain) a white band apeared over the toe line bend crase area if you know what I mean. This line was like the one you get in winter from salt/grit on the footpaths etc. Granted this has now disapeared. Now the rubber/leather junction on the instep is coming loose as though the glue is failing. I will be sending these boots back and hopefully selecting an alternative dependant on what the customer service is like. This wont put me off buying other timberlands as they are generally very sturdy and well built. Time will tell!"

GREAT BOOTS-HIGHLY RECOMENDED
Date:November 09, 2011
Pros: Comfortable,sturdy and stylish
Cons: inside could be tougher
"I have owned these boots for many years. I bought around 1993/4- I think it was the first or second year that this style was available in the uk. I wore them every winter for about 5 years and found them to be comfortable and waterproof. They are not too bulky to wear with jeans etc but are sturdy enough to go hillwalking also. I found them about 6 years ago in the cupboard, but before I threw them out I checked and saw they still made the same style. Instead of buying another pair I polished the old ones up and have wore them every year since. Including many hiking trips and a lot of snow action too. The inside at the heel has worn down to the plastic-but have fixed that myself with some leather heel grips and they are STILL AS GOOD AS NEW 18 YEARS LATER!! WOW>what shoes can you buy for this price that are built to last without looking like work boots. RECOMMENDED !"

Fantastic boots for winter and all occasions
Date:October 29, 2011
"I needed a pair of new boots with winter round the corner. Looked through many makes and models but decided to get a pair of Euro Hikers and glad I did :).
They fit almost perfectly, just a tiny bit big but this means I could wear thicker thermal socks. Also very comfortable and grip is superb.
Build quality is very solid and should last a long time.
I would definitely recommend these boots."

Don't breathe.
Date:June 14, 2011
Pros: Tough.
Cons: Sweat your feet.
"Buy the Goretex lined Chocorua boot instead. These are lined with a non-breathable material and ,whilst very waterproof, will make your feet boil! The Chocoruas will not and are excellent."

Pros: a classic boot
Cons: just not made like they use to :(
"i have been a huge fan the the euro hiker for 12 years but the last 3 pairs i have had i have returned as they were falty and not well made, the rubber rand was not glued properly. This saddens me as i love these boots but feel 85 pound is a lot for boots that come unglued after only a few month.please please look into this as im trying to source a pair from the late 90's as i know they will be well made."

Best Boots Ever
Date:March 23, 2011
Pros: Comfy, Look good, Dont feel like you are wearing boots.
"When you see the boots you immediately know they are of excellent quality. All the materials used are perfect.
The first thing that gets you, apart from the quality of the product is how light the boots are. Easily as light as a pair of quality leather trainers. When you put them on, there is a few different ways you can wear them. You can wear them loose, or strap them right up, either way they are extremely comfy, as comfy as you would ever want a pair of boots to be. However fully tied up they do feel very secure on your feet. Walking, running, or jumping, whatever, is not a problem in these boots. You feel like you are wearing trainers.
Style wise, these boots look excellent when worn, with a pair of jeans there very subtle, but very cool. They look that great you cant believe they are so practical.
I've worn lots of boots by lots of different brands cheaper ones, more expensive ones, these are in a different league. Best boots ever."

A good fit and very comfortable
Date:March 04, 2011
Pros: Good fit
Cons: A little firm to start with
"These boots are excellent and a very good fit. I always worry with boots because getting the right size is essential and US brands tend to vary quite a lot.
I am normally a size 9 and because the boots are classed as a wide fitting this is what I opted for.
They are a little firm on the first wear but even after a ten mile trek on the second wear they didn't rub and were very supportive and comfortable.
They feel and look as if they'll offer plenty of wear and I will definitely be buying the same pair next time."

Best pair of boots purchased ever
Date:February 12, 2011
Pros: durable, reliable and wearable
Cons: no cons against this product
"I bought a pair of these boots a decade ago and am only just replacing them, Although I will admit I didn't wear them on a daily basis due to my job. However for walking and using them in bad weather you cannot beat them. Since being retired for the past two years I have worn them on a daily basis, walking my dog doing work on my land etc. You cannot beat them they are the best boots I have ever purchased and overall for the price they are more than reasonable. I would recommend them to anyone."

reat pair of boots
Date:December 25, 2010
Pros: Great fit, keep my feet warm and brilliant grip outdoors
Cons: probably because they're new, but grip a liitle iffy on indoor polished surfaces
"Had a similar pair to these for years and having taken them around the world more than once, finally had to get a new pair when I'd worn them out! Really grateful to have these in recent snowy weather. Fantastically comfortable, my feet were superbly warm and the grip was excellent. Hope they last as well as my last pair!"

Great Boots
Date:October 11, 2010
Pros: Quality Product; efficient delivery
Cons: Quality costs
"I needed a quality pair of walking boots for a recent European trip. I ordered these boots from the Timberland website and they arrived promptly. I wore these for the first time on the trip for a first single period of 16 hours with no damage to my feet or the boots. Can't wait to wear them again."

Reassuring footwear
Date:September 06, 2010
"I was surprised how lightweight the boots are, but very well-made and sturdy - not so chunky as I expected. A very snug fit on first impression - I ordered a UK size 9 and received US 9.5, not a great deal of room for thicker socks, but I imagine they will loosen up a bit with wearing.."

As comfortable as slippers
Date:September 05, 2010
Pros: Durable, stylish, good for hiking or general wear.
Cons: Tongue not attached to the sides of the boot.
"Bought my first pair of these over 16 years ago and still wearing them. Was surprised they still sell them, so just bought another pair on line. Same product code etc. and they fitted perfect and no running in required. Just as good as the originals except that the tongue is no longer attached to the sides of the boot so water penetration could result if going through puddles. Don't know why they did this, cutting costs I suppose but hey, the price is the same as I paid for the originals over 16 years ago so taking inflation into account, they're a lot cheaper now."

Quality Without Compromise
Date:August 20, 2010
Pros: Great Value for money. Don't require breaking in.
Cons: The sole eventually wears out.
"Now into my third pair of the Eurohiker and there isn't a lot I haven't done in them; hill walking, long distance lorry driving, dancing, DJing... With leather upper and neat fit they pass the test against other brands for versatility and endurance. Simply a great boot.."

Brilliant
Date:June 29, 2010
Pros: Very Comfortable
Cons: not waterproof
"I have just walked 55 odd miles over Hadrian's Wall in my 4 year old boots and they were a revelation. I had worn them previoulsy but not for any endurance walking and not on consecutive days. I didn't do any porper preparation but the boots were fantastic. They do come up a bit smaller than the 6" boots so sizing was awkward and I ended up with a pair slightly too big but the advantage was an ability to wear 2 pairs of socks which is a must for any distance walking. Out of a group of us and having the cheapest footwear, my feet were in the best condition by far at then end! In conclusion, great comfy boot which can be worn for days on end. It was no issue for me but as the tongue isn't attached to the boots at the sides water will enter if partially submerged. Not a deal breaker though and after the last 3 days, I can't recommend them highly enough."
